Grape God Strain
Grape God Strain is an indica-dominant hybrid that redefines bag appeal with its striking visuals and bold flavor profile. It’s a cross between tasty Grapefruit and High Times Indica Cup winner God Bud. Grape God comes to us from Next Generation Seed Company, innovative breeders based in beautiful British Columbia. This strain’s flashy bells and whistles don’t come at the expense of its potency. Cannabis testing lab Analytical 360 has found flowers of God Bud to have between 15% and 25% THC content. Its heavy, peaceful body stone is best savored around bedtime.
Grape God boasts tapered flowers that adhere in large single pieces. The buds have a dense indica-like structure, with tightly curled leaves. A blanket of icy trichomes covers the eye-catching flowers, making them sticky and difficult to break up without the help of a grinder. On second inspection, there are also some funky notes of damp earth. The absence of skunky or acrid flavors in this strain makes for a smooth, easy smoke that tastes dank on the exhale. Notably, there is no correspondence between Grape God’s purple color and its grape-like taste. While the color is dictated by pigments, different compounds called terpenes determine the taste.
Grape God
Grape God may take several minutes — or a second bowl — to take hold of smokers. Effects start in the head, with a gradual heaviness that moves down through the neck to the shoulders and limbs. This “stoney” feeling is soon accompanied by a wave of relaxation that helps put users at ease. This strain does not impair cognition as heavily as some more pure indicas, but users may not feel motivated to work on detailed tasks, even if they can maintain focus. Medically speaking, Grape God’s relaxing properties make it very useful to a variety of patients. It can soothe pain resulting from injuries or from chronic conditions like arthritis or fibromyalgia. Its pleasant emotional buzz can blunt the harsh symptoms of stress, anxiety, depression, and even PTSD. This strain can also be a powerful appetite stimulant. Because of the relative lack of intense cerebral effects, Grape God also comes with a lessened risk of paranoia. The high can last longer than average, even for more experienced consumers.
Seeds of Grape God are available from several online retailers. It can also be obtained the old fashioned way, as cuttings from mature plants of the same variety that can then be grown as genetically identical “clones. This strain can thrive indoors or outdoors, although outdoor growing requires a warm, humid climate with consistent temperatures between 72 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Growers should also be sure to bring out Grape God’s signature purple color by “shocking” the plant. Or exposing it to cold temperatures late in the vegetative stage.

Feeling pro this morning, I put up Grape God for a wake and bake review sesh. I paid for my hubris; Grape God turned the wake and bake sesh into a wake and snake when my skeleton came out with the smoke on my first exhale. I’m stretched out writing this, Money Trees in the background. Visual: Frosty little bud. Trimmed up fine since everything on it is sugary. Smell: I was disappointed with the scent at first, even after busting it open it was only mildly fruity. Nothing specific. But after I grinding it up it was almost identical to Grape Skittles. It smells amazing, I want some Skittles to go with this now. I loaded it in my just cleaned Silika beaker and proceeded to take a mighty chief. And mighty it was, because I can’t open my eyes. Feeling clear and stoned at the same time, which may be an effect specific to me because of me medicating for anxiety. I smoke up the rest and now I’m here writing this. Not couchlocked exactly, very close though. I’m super relaxed, not sleepy though which is great since it’s just 10am. I would love this in the evening or even as a emergency joint for panic attacks. Grape God crushed my morning anxiety, and this morning was the first morning in about a week where I didn’t start the day throwing up. It’s been about an hour since I finished up, and I’m up feeling really good. Ready to go with my eyes low.

70/30 indica Smell of grape is present but faint as it is overtaken by a strong earthy smell. The taste is for the most part earthy while a little hint of grape makes it a pleasant after taste. Very Euphoric initially and as it tapers off a mild stone approaches and lingers into extreme feelings of being mellow for hours after. The buds were dense while still allowing for push.

My new favorite! Soooo…. smooth and sweet frosty white buds so dense! Whoever grew this amazing plant knew what they were doing.

Grape God is an Indica dominant hybrid (70% Indica x 30% Sativa). It is excellent for relieving stress and has a nice body high. The buds are incredibly sticky, very dense, and long lasting in the bowl. The taste is very fruity and pleasant with no bad after taste. Everything about is is “grape”; grape taste, grape smell, and grape flavor on exhale.

I’d recommend very long and deep breathes when smoking Grape God. You’ll be on a whole new level a couple bowls in.

Writing review as I burn. It smells like a white grape crossed with blueberry (and a hint of mint), and the smell is strong. The smoke is light and almost has no taste. Its pretty cerebral and the high is noticeably strong. Euphoric and relaxed are the two traits that are most obvious to me; you could definitely use during the day for its euphoric effects and it doesn’t have couch lock, but you could absolutely use this as a relaxant to help you fall to sleep. I really enjoy this strain and I will use again.

One of my favorite Indicas! Wonderful taste and overall experience. Grape God relaxes me, and I can still focus on it while reading. I also noticed it makes me sexually aroused far more than any indica I’ve tried. Huge plus! No munchies, just the bliss I desire for a balanced night of chillin’, good lovin’, and sound sleep! Yes, I can see why this strain has such a mighty name!

Strong smell when dry, but very mild smell and taste once lit. Great for those suffering from nausea or epilepsy as some smells may be triggers. I had almost instant muscle relaxer type relief. Headache gone next. This gave me a total body and head high. It started in my chest and moved its way to my limbs and head. It definitely has a relaxing effect, but gives me a happy carefree type vibe instead of just sleepy. Could probably be used for daytime pain and depression, or social anxiety, but may need to be mixed with a little something to help tone down the sedative aspect. This is officially one of my favorite top 5!!!!

Just picked up a quarter from the dispensary of Grape God and at first was marveled by the earthy, strong scent of the bud. Upon closer inspection, the bud was glittered with trichomes and orange hairs. Bright green in color as well. Dense, but very soft in consistency. Smokes well with a hint of grape, as it is Grapefruit crossed with God Bud. As for the high, it’s what you’d expect from an Indica dominant hybrid. Minimal body high, but it’s more prevalent in higher doses. Nice head high that helps relieve stress, pain, and allows you to enjoy your day. The high lasts for around 2 hours (after 3 bong bowls) and is a nice strain to reward yourself with. Overall, I’d say an 8/10. Very nice strain I would look into again.

Migraine pain 5; nausea 7-8 when I medicated round 1300 or so? Takes bout 5-10 min to start working. Pain/nausea gone. No anxiety/paranoia (an absolute must for me). Body high allowed me to eat which was very much needed. Head high allowed me to enjoy Sunday afternoon with my family which was also very much needed. High lasted bout 4 + hours which was killer for (I think) a Sativa dominant? I’d highly recommend for daytime/after work use for pain/nausea/anxiety! Top notch meds from dis dispensary! 🙂

I suffer from BPD and this was the first time I’d ever felt mentally healthy. It cleared my head so much I actually felt normal (or as close to normal as I’ve ever experienced). I found this strain was exceedingly helpful with reflection and introspection. Therapy in a bag! If you feel you’ve lost all hope I recommend Grape God! 🍇

All hail the mighty Grape God! Godbud x Grapefruit. Not for being this crazy heavy hitter either, but for being the definition of a perfect indica dominant strain. This medicine acts as both pain relief as well as an anti-anxiety very quickly. With a smoother onset over the body and legs, a calming head high gives a sense of ease making it great choice for a first time patient. Definitely recommend checking it out!

I am a budtender and consistently see this strain helping many people with anxiety, stress or mood problems. It is not overly strong, but very balanced both mind and body. The terpene profile definitely has high amounts of linalool (found in lavender and cannabis) which is probably one of the reasons this strain works so well for relaxing the user both mentally and physically. This strain does not produce profound “recreational” psychoactive effects, but meant to serve as a strong medication for those in need
